Saturday 10th March 2018 Rotherwick Village Hall
Doors and bar open at 7:00pm Show starts at 7:30pm
Champagne at The Blitz are very proud to present to you our fourth live show at Rotherwick Village Hall as always, supporting local charities. This time, St Michael's Hospice in Basingstoke will be our chosen organisation who work hard to provide palliative care for people across North Hampshire. Our infamous heads and tails raffle, as well as the usual ticket-from-the-top-hat draw will be held during the interval to raise funds for this all important cause, so do be sure to bring along your spare thrupenny bits to be in with a chance of winning some fine prizes and to help support the all important work of St Michael's.
You can expect a "delightful" evening full of nostalgia, fun and of course all the best loved music from the 1940s, 50s, and beyond, there is literally something for everyone in our ever growing and varied repertoire. To help you really get into the 'Spirit of the Blitz' feel free to dress up in all your vintage vogue as there will be a prize for the best dressed too! Previous shows have been a huge success with audience members up on their feet, enjoying all the innocence of a good old fashioned knees up... dancing is highly encouraged. There is a reasonably priced bar stocked well with lager, wine, prossecco and soft drinks to wet your whistle and those vocal cords to keep you singing along to all the old favourites and more!
We like to leave our audience on a "high, feeling totally uplifted!" with "very happy memories" of times gone by and "a head full of wonderful harmonies and music" that lives on generation after generation with shows like this, bringing all the innocence, romance, glamour and best loved songs of a bygone era back to the beautiful Rotherwick Village Hall. Built in 1932 it is the ideal setting for a truly authentic vintage experience. We would absolutely love to see you there!!
